| Meet Your Kimchi Kpop Playlist - Eat Your Kimchi Posted: 25 Aug 2015 03:27 AM PDT Hey everyone! The vast majority of you reading this post will not have an idea what this is all about, so let me explain. This isn't any old Kpop Playlist. This is a hand picked Martina and Rose dynamic duo epic playlist of Kpop glory!!! All the epic awesome songs that we love are on it. We made this playlist especially for our Meet Your Kimchi tour! So an hour before the show started, people would check in and sit down at their seats, so we had this epic Kpop playlist blaring over the speakers to get everyone excited! At the end of our show, when we got hugs and took pictures we would play this playlist again. LOTS OF PEOPLE ASKED US FOR THIS PLAYLIST. Fortunately, Rose put the playlist together on her YouTube channel and now you can check it out there! Favourite memories of this playlist: whenever we'd be taking the pictures and Bubble Pop came on, I would refuse to pose in any other way apart from a Bubble Pop pose. It was very important. Also, it was very difficult for me to focus whenever What is Love came on. I'd be in the middle of saying something to someone and when I'd hear the song my eyes would dart up to the ceiling and my sentence would drift off. AWWW YEAH GIRL THAT'S MY JAM! Martina couldn't concentrate when TVXQ's "Mitotic" came on and she insisted on rapping all of Yuhno's and Mickey's part. So hopefully you'll like the songs on this playlist, and maybe you can just press play and let it roll for an hour or two. This is the perfect party jam playlist people! But you know we forgot some epic song along the way…like…I think we totally forgot to put on Crayon Pop! *SOBS* Click here for a link to the playlist since the above video isn't working for some people! Let us know what song should have been on this playlist so we can make it more epic. :D THERE ARE 9 COMMENTS. CLICK HERE TO SEE THEM OR ADD YOURS! |
| South Korea is trolling North Korea with K-Pop - Death and Taxes Posted: 25 Aug 2015 12:00 AM PDT In a move sure to strain already strained relations between North and South, it's being reported that South Korea is trolling North Korea by blasting loud music across the border, subjecting their dour, northern neighbors to an endless stream of sugary, overproduced pop hits. The aural assault includes music from K-pop groups like Girls' Generation, which is being broadcast up to 12 miles across the border by 48 loudspeakers along with news and anti-Pyonyang broadcasts that the North Koreans consider propaganda. North Korea's Supreme Leader Kim Jong-Un apparently considers this tantamount to an act of war threatening that the two nations would "enter a wartime state" if the broadcasts weren't halted. Now Kpopstarz is reporting that the speakers were removed on Tuesday as part of an agreement reached between the North and South but it seems they did what they set out to do: Annoy North Korea into submission or at least into negotiations. According to BoingBoing one of the tracks being played in this sonic attack is Girls Generation's "Tell Me Your Wish" which features lyrics like "I'm genie for you boy, I'm genie for your wish, I'm genie for dream, I'm genie for your world!" Honestly, if I had to hear this more than once I'd surrender immediately. [h/t BoingBoing | Image: Twitter] |

News reportage has focused on the propaganda messages, but this, relentlessly blasted across the border at such volume it can be heard 12 miles in, is surely what's really keeping DPRK leader Kim Jong Un up at night.
