| <b>K-Pop</b> Crossover: 2NE1's CL Shows Up In Playful Lip Sync Video <b>...</b> Posted: 15 Apr 2015 07:06 PM PDT It's the wild lives of the rich and famous in the latest cover of Carly Rae Jepsen's "I Really Like You." Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and many other performers signed to Scooter Braun got together and partied it up while singing along to Carly Rae Jepsen's latest hit, "I Really Like You." Included in the video was a chic looking CL of K-pop girl group, 2NE1. Like Us on Facebook CL appears towards the end of the video, wearing a blue fur coat and fierce looking glasses, and gets drawn into the video by the others. By the end of the cover, Ariana Grande and CL were seen dancing together, with Ariana hugging the Korean idol. Some of the commenters were confused as to whom CL was, but 2NE1's fans stepped up to the plate. "CL is in basically the biggest Korean girl band, she's been famous for way longer than Ari and Justin. You might not know her but the whole of Asia does. I'm not even her fan," said YouTube user emmabanana. While not all viewers knew who CL was, there was much interest in her. "Judging from other comments it looks like her name is CL and that she is a rapper/singer in a famous Korean girl group called 2ne1 and that she has done some solo work and is currently preparing for a US debut," wrote Etienne Bacaris. "I looked up some of her other videos and she is hot as hell." CL is signed to Scooter Braun's label in the US, and planning a debut into the American music market. She has been seen with several of his other artists in the past. She performed at Ultra 2015 alongside Justin Bieber, Skrillex, Diplo, and P. Diddy. The video included: Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Kendall Jenner, Rixton, CL, Lance Bass, David Foster, Frankie Grande, Matthew Espinosa, Bryshere Gray, Kimberly Nichole, Jeremy Scott, Ryan Butler, and Alfredo Flores. The video was uploaded to Justin Bieber's official YouTube channel on April 14; within 24 hours, it had been viewed over one million times. "[I] decided to make a fun cover with a bunch of friends of Carly's new song I Really Like You," wrote Bieber in the description of the video. Like Us on Facebook According to Oricon Style, the group released their new album on Wednesday and quickly topped the daily album chart. Their albums and singles have continuously been successful in Japan. Their ninth Japanese single, "Guilty Love," has topped the Oricon Weekly chart before. Members Junho and Jun.K's solo albums have also received a positive response in Japan.
